WHERE DID THE NAME PERSIMMONS COME FROM?

One of my most favored childhood memories. As a little girl, one of my most favorite things to do was go fishing on our family farm with my grandfather. Spread throughout the farm were a few persimmon trees. Before we would make it to the fishing pond, my "Pappaw" and I would always stop and check the persimmon trees to see if the persimmons were "ready". Testing a persimmon can be a 'bitter-sweet' experience as it can taste very tangy if not matured. I related this experience with the timing of opening my first store. It took years of being taught by some of my most admired role models along with faith strengthening moments that taught me to depend solely on our Lord, to find myself asking Him to help me find my purpose. I pray each day that I can use this store as a mission field to glorify Him.
